　　《末日校巴》集喜剧、勇气、冒险和神秘元素于一体。影片开头，学生们前往“精灵飞球”（一种用来清理环境的新型机器人）的发射现场。当科技业亿万富翁道尔顿·蒙克豪斯（罗伯特·席安饰）推出人工智能魔法球时，在场所有观众都消失不见了，而世界各地也发生了数千起相同的事件。学生们设法在大劫难中回到破旧的校车中，回家寻找答案，却进入了神秘荒芜的世界。

The perpetually shirtless stand-up comedian plays a version of himself in the six-episode show, which finds Bert in a sticky situation after his daughters enroll in an elite Beverly Hills private school and his “unbridled antics turn his family into outcasts.” In order to fit in, Bert decides to finally put on a shirt (both literally and metaphorically, we presume) and suppress his true self.

Martin Ellingham, a London-based surgeon, relocates to the picturesque seaside village of Port Wenn, establishing himself as the area's general practitioner. He grew up in the area having been raised by his now widowed Aunt Joan Norton. 　　The plot revolves around British aristocratic detective Inspector Thomas Lynley and his working-class partner, Sergeant Barbara Havers, as they solve crimes interwoven with social issues. As the 8th Earl of Asherton, Lynley is from the highest aristocratic order of Britain outside the royal family, while Havers is a perceptive woman who cannot boast a rich heritage. The divide in their social status often makes for interesting conversations and differing perspectives that explore the themes of class and gender.
