　　同名小说《杀戮一代》（2004）是一本由滚石杂志的记者Evan Wright根据亲身经历编写的自传，讲述了他身为深入战区的记者，跟随美国海军陆战队第一远征军参与了2003年伊拉克战争的经历。他对海军陆战队生活的阐述最早是在2003年秋天，由滚石杂志分三期连载出版。系列的开篇《杀手精英》，在2004年荣获全国杂志奖的最佳报道奖。
