　　1889 年，日本九州第一條鐵路開通，幾乎與香港同台灣在同一時期引入。全九州有大約400 個車站，覆蓋幾乎全島所有地區。作為交通樞紐的重要大站可能大家都有去過，部份為鄉民服務的隱世小站則人跡罕至。最舊的車站有百多年歷史，亦有不斷發展的新型車站。無論是JR、私鐵甚至已廢棄路線，由車站出發，到附近社區發掘有趣事物，讓鐵路帶觀眾去到更遠、更美麗的地方。
